An Early but Promising Harvest!

Every year, at the end of summer, the Château Puyfromage vineyard enters a very special time: the grape harvest.
This year, nature decided to speed things up!
The drought and heatwaves that marked the summer caused the grapes to ripen more quickly, bringing the harvest forward.
The bunches were smaller than usual, with fewer grapes and smaller berries, but what wonderful quality! Concentrated grapes, rich in aromas and bursting with flavour, offering a promising glimpse of a 2026 vintage full of character.
At Château Puyfromage, the harvest is the culmination of a year of hard work, observation and patience. It means adapting to the whims of the weather, carefully monitoring grape ripeness and choosing just the right moment to pick them.
Once the grapes have been brought in, the adventure continues in the winery. The first stages of winemaking begin, with all the care and attention needed to bring out the very best of this year’s harvest.
A smaller harvest, but plenty of promise in every bottle!
We will have to be a little more patient before discovering what the 2026 vintage has in store for us…
In the meantime, we would be delighted to welcome you to Château Puyfromage to discover our vineyard, our family history and our wines.
